The two top form teams in the UniBond League Premier Division clash at Horsfall Stadium this evening when Bradford Park Avenue entertain second-placed rivals Frickley Athletic.

Avenue have won five and drawn one of their last six league games, while Frickley have won four and drawn two.

Gary Brook's men go into tonight's match full of confidence after Danny Walsh's last-gasp winner against Wakefield & Emley on Saturday.

Young centre forward Tom Greaves also kept his impressive goal-scoring run going by opening the scoring in the match - his seventh goal in six games.

Brook said: "The spirit here is the best I have known at any club I have been involved with.

"My players have this never-say-die attitude. They go into games full of confidence believing they can beat anybody - which they can on their day.

"We never give up; we keep on going until the end.

"We have had disappointments in the FA Cup and FA Trophy but it was important we bounced back in the league last Saturday.

"Our players get themselves up for the top teams. Now we have got to start treating every game like it is a top-of-the-table clash because against the bottom teams the players have thought they only had to turn up to win."

Brook has used 34 players in first-team games this season.

"I think I have a bigger squad than Chelsea!" he said.

"It is not ideal using so many players but most of the changes have been because of injury problems."

Brook's latest loan signing is goalkeeper Mark Wilkinson, who only put pen to paper last Friday. "I did a swap with Frickley," said Brook. "We got Mark and they got Nicky Heinemann. You have got to have a good relationship with other managers at this level."

Wilkinson will probably

continue to deputise for Craig Parry tonight while the first-choice keeper continues his recovery from a groin problem.

Avenue are happy with the number of goals they are

scoring.

"We are not relying on any one player - they are coming from different areas of the pitch, so that is good," added Brook.

"I like playing with two wingers. We are at our most dangerous when we get the ball wide and put it into the box.

"Dean Calcutt put in some good crosses against Wakefield & Emley but he drifts in and out of games and I am not happy about that."
