Dean Windass will definitely miss City's West Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield next week.

Windass collected his fifth yellow card of the season at Doncaster on Saturday, meaning an automatic one-match ban.

Clubs cannot appeal against bookings but the striker had hoped that referee Mark Clattenburg would change his mind on the decision after watching the incident again on video.

It looked very harsh on Windass as he tried to pull away from a face-to-face confrontation with Rovers midfielder Ricky Ravenhill, who was sent off for a

second booking as a result of the clash.

But Windass was told last night that match officials cannot rescind bookings like that.

"The referee admitted to me afterwards that he had got it wrong but unfortunately he can't do anything about it now," said the City striker.

"I know I did nothing wrong and the linesman agreed with that. Their lad just got up off the floor and pushed me in the face."

City boss Colin Todd was fuming at seeing his side fritter away another winning opportunity.

The Bantams blew a two-goal cushion in the 2-2 draw. It stretched their unbeaten run to six games but frustrated Todd blasted his side's "Achilles heel".

"When you're 2-0 up it's not good enough to only draw," he said.

"We put a lot of effort into the game and it's just soul destroying.

"There seems to be an Achilles heel in this football club and that's killing us.

"We did the same at Tranmere, where we were twice ahead, and last week at Swindon we made things more difficult by conceding a late goal.

"I know that if the opposition were 2-0 up then we wouldn't get back in the game.

"There's no excuse for it. The forwards are doing fine but we've got to have more grit and resolve and be

prepared to put our head in and win those balls.

"Their first goal was a brilliant strike, which we couldn't do anything about. But the second was a set-play when we didn't do our jobs correctly even with the extra body."

Tom Kearney replaced Steve Schumacher in midfield and netted his first senior goal.

"These are games we should be winning if we want to be up there in the play-offs and pushing for promotion," said Kearney

"But if we keep playing like that we should be capable of putting a few back-to-back wins together."
