Oakworth Juniors celebrated achieving the Charter Community Club Award - the Football Association's top honour.

They were among several clubs invited to a celebration day held at West Riding FA's Woodlesford headquarters to recognise the work put in by coaches and volunteers.

The club was represented by their Under-9s and girls Under-12s team.

They met England's 1966 World Cup hat-trick hero Sir Geoff Hurst, who presented the awards and signed autographs.

Oakworth are one of only 210 clubs throughout the country to have reached the Charter Community Club standard, which had been achieved by 14 other clubs in Yorkshire.
