Barrowford put on a champions' display at the head of the JP Mewies Craven League First Division, annihilating early- season leaders Bingley Congs at Bull Holme.

Ronnie Misra was again in sparkling form, making a superb 96 in his team's massive 239 for five, David Hartley chipping in with 54.

The Beckfoot side were always on the back foot and slumped to 113, Duncan Thorne making 51 as Farroq Shehzad took seven for 44 and Misra three for 25.

This maintains their one-point lead over Embsay, who came away victorious by six wickets at Haworth West End, confirming the home side's relegation.

The Bronte side were dismissed for 71, John Metcalfe sending down 18 overs to finish with nine for 34. Andy Benfield (31) tried his best to hold the winners at bay. Skipper Duncan Ward led the way for the Shires Laners with 34 not out.

The other relegation spot is between Foulridge and Bradley. The Noyna side were blown away for 59 at Haworth, Damian Rowell taking four for five and Jamie Rowell three for 26. The Bronte side cantered home by nine wickets, with Richard Powell scoring 35 not out.

This leaves the Red Rose side two points adrift of Bradley, who were at Thornton. The South Craveners were restricted to 126 for six, James Burke making 31 not out. The Booth Bridge Laners won by eight wickets.
