A woman who died in a horrific pile-up on the M62 has been named by police as Susan Julie Legg, 48, of Shipley.
She was killed in the multiple car crash which happened at about 9.55pm on Friday, blocking the motorway in both directions.
She had been a passenger in a red Fiat which collided with a blue Subaru Impreza between junctions 33 and 34 near Ferrybridge.
The driver of the car, a 50-year-old man, was still in a critical condition in hospital today.
A 25-year-old man appeared at Leeds Magistrates yesterday charged with death by dangerous driving in connection with the collision.
A 17-year-old has been released on bail pending further police inquiries.
The motorway was closed for much of the weekend and opened late on Sunday evening after police carried out extensive forensic examinations at the scene.
Police are appealing for any information on the crash. Anyone with information should call (01924) 294937.
