Sunday's Priestley Cup showdown between Pudsey Congs and Woodlands at Bradford & Bingley isn't the only 'knockout final' this weekend.

Bingley skipper Carl Sharp reckons there is another winner-takes-all clash tomorrow when his beleaguered side visit Bankfoot in a Division One relegation battle.

"This is our cup final, and if we don't win it then I think we are down," said the left-hander of the contest between Bingley, who are second from bottom, and Bank-foot, who are a place above them.

Sharp, whose batting has been one of the mainstays of Bingley's campaign, is still getting over what happened to his team last Saturday.

His bowlers, as has been the case for much of the season, did their stuff in dismissing visitors Idle for 135 on what he described as "a reasonable track". How-ever, Bingley then committed hari kiri by collapsing from 117 for five to 129 all out, and there were still 22 overs left at the end.

Sharp, still struggling to raise a smile, said: "You should be able to chase 135 but a lot of our batsmen were out to rank bad shots, including Mark Beckett, who had been batting brilliantly up to that point.

"Rarely have I been able to point my finger at either our bowlers or our fielders. Richard McCarthy and Matthew Cockshott have been bowling well recently, and we should be able to get more than five overs out of overseas bowler Lance Shaw tomorrow.

"He has been suffering with a side strain and had no ill effects from his spell, but it has just been our batting that has let us down."

If Bingley are approaching the point of no return, then that is even truer for basement boys Spen Victoria, who entertain title-chasing Congs tomorrow.

Of the other two championship contenders, Woodlands have a tricky match at Hanging Heaton while East Bierley are at unpredictable Saltaire.
