Tong Park's disastrous run of form continued with defeat at the hands of bottom club Beckwithshaw and they are now just one point above the drop zone from Division A.

After winning promotion last season, they made a good start to their top-flight campaign but are now without a win since the end of May when they were standing in seventh place.

Despite defiant innings from Chander Sheikhar (91no) and Brendan Ryan (48), Park were restricted to 176 for five, a total Beckwithshaw passed with four wickets to spare.

The other promoted club, Burley, were always likely to struggle against title hopefuls Follifoot and went down to a six-wicket defeat, despite a solid knock of 71 from Grant Costello.

Glen Taylor (42) and 13-year-old Adam Waitts (35) helped Guiseley to 176 for six but it wasn't enough to test Adel, who won by three wickets.

Burley are now bottom on 31 points, with Guiseley also in the relegation spots, one point better off. Then come Tong Park (33) and Beckwithshaw (35) with just three matches to go and Guiseley due to meet Beckwithshaw and Burley in the next two weeks.

Two overs of off-spin from Scott Crosby (4-4) helped skittle out Bilton for 95 and complete a double for Green Lane over the defending champions, who now only lead Follifoot by a single point.

Matthew Hutton took five Kirkstall wickets as the third-placed club reached 271 for eight, and then hit an unbeaten 70 to clinch a fine victory for Rawdon.

That allowed Otley, three-wicket winners over North Leeds, to move within one point of Kirkstall. Gary Thompson (69) and Sam Smith (48) laid the foundations for the win with an opening stand of 94.

Neil Spragg hit an unbeaten 63 to help Steeton to 228 for five but it wasn't enough to withstand Pool, who won by five wickets to clinch the Division B title.

With Collingham overcoming Silsden in a low-scoring match, they moved to within five points of second-placed Steeton.

Calverley's outside hopes of promotion crumbled when they could find no answer to Knaresborough's West Indian paceman Attiba Allert, whose eight-over spell of six for 28 saw them dismissed for 46.

Horsforth's Tim Linley starred in their five-wicket win over Thackley, following up his four for 12 bowling with an unbeaten 48.

Menston's inevitable relegation was confirmed when they went down at Bardsey despite a fine 75 from Mohammed Mehdi.
