Bradford Bulls fans are being strongly advised to purchase tickets in advance for the Challenge Cup tie at Rochdale on Sunday week.

The First Division club's Spotland ground, which they share with the town's soccer club, has a capacity of only 8,000 with the Wembley finalists allocated 2,500 seats and 3,000 ground tickets.

There will be no cash admissions at the turnstiles on matchday although any still remaining will be available at the Spotland ticket office.

Tickets go on sale at Odsal to season ticket holders only on Saturday between 9.30am and 2.30pm on production of voucher A.

The remainder will go on general sale at 12.15pm on Sunday when the turnstiles open for the double-header friendly with Dewsbury and Batley.

Seat prices are £10 for adults with a £5 concession while ground prices are £7 and £3.50. The club are also running coaches to the game at £4 per head.

Bulls are anticipating a big following at Rochdale as they begin their bid to reach a third successive Challenge Cup final.

Meanwhile Super League were still celebrating today after landing a £1.5million windfall to market the game over the next two years.

League bosses unveiled a record sponsorship deal with northern business tycoon Dave Whelan, the man bankrolling Wigan's efforts to sign Australian Test star Wendell Sailor.

Whelan's national sports goods retailers, JJB Sports plc, were unveiled as the new backers of Super League, taking over from brewers Bass who ended their sponsorship last August.

The Wigan-based firm will put £1.5million into Super League over the next two years and also have an option to match any rival bid for the year 2000.
