Bradford's four MPs have voiced their support for live radio coverage of football action from Valley Parade.

Bradford Community Broad-casting will find out tomorrow if Bradford City FC will give it permission to cover all live home games for 'Bantams Radio'.

Meanwhile the radio station - which launched its bid after Pulse FM pulled the plug on live commentaries - has gathered support from all over Bradford, and from exiled Bantams supporters around the globe.

The MPs are all backing the campaign, along with City Gent, the Bradford City fanzine, and the Bradford City Supporters' Club. A trial live broadcast at the Nottingham Forest v Bradford City game on December 6 was enjoyed by fans across the city and around the globe who tuned in via the Internet.

Jonathan Pinfield of BCB said: "There is a lot of momentum building up behind the campaign and support from Bradford City fans is pouring in. We hope the club will be swayed by it."

Gerry Sutcliffe, Labour MP for Bradford South, said: "Many people who wish to attend games are prevented, for many reasons such as disability, cost of tickets, or family commitments.

"The development of community radio in this area would assist the quality of life for many people, as well as promoting good community relations between the football club and the people of Bradford."

Chris Leslie, MP for Shipley, added: "I am sure that match day broadcasts by BCB would prove to be successful."

Terry Rooney, MP for Bradford North, said: "Such a venture would provide a great service to the community as well as being beneficial to the club."

And Bradford West MP Marsha Singh added: "Bantams Radio would encourage more people to become interested and engaged in Bradford City football matches."
