Ilkley B 43
Pocklington 20
AN open flowing game produced 10 tries and a victory for Ilkley thirds against Pocklington.
An early try by centre Gareth Ingham was quickly cancelled out. The teams traded points throughout the first half. Ben Murgatroyd's try was converted by Paul Witherington.
It was 24-10 at the interval thanks to another Ingham try, an effort from Simon Ince and a Witherington.
Despite two further unconverted tries by the visitors, the home side were never in danger of letting the game slip away.
The forwards continued to supply excellent ball which was used well by the backs. The scoring was completed with Ingham completing his hat trick, a try for Richard Foyston and a conversion and penalty from Witherington.
This was a match enjoyed by players and spectators alike.
