Pensioner Marion Bos-worth, will celebrate her 90th birthday tomorrow - though she has only had 22 birthdays

Mrs Bosworth of Bog-thorn, Oakworth, was born on February 29, 1908 - a leap year - but has celebrated her birthday on the 28th ever since.

A former pupil of Holycroft and Riddlesden schools, Mrs Bosworth worked the tailoring industry for many years.

After she married in 1932 she and her husband moved to Oakworth where they used a horse and cart for their milk round. They were one of the first suppliers to go motorised when they took delivery of a 24-horsepower van.

The family then had a butcher's shop in Victoria Road which Mrs Bosworth ran after her husband died in 1965. She then took a grocery shop in Dalton Lane where Mrs Bosworth worked until well into her 70s and was helped by her daughter Margaret.

Mrs Bosworth has three children - Joan, Margaret and David - seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She has been a Townswom-en's Guild member for about 30 years and likes watching television and doing crosswords.
