John Kain says his Keighley Cougars side will have to be on their guard against former team-mate Steve Hall when they travel to Rochdale tomorrow.

The powerful prop moved from Keighley to Spotland during the close season along with Andy Eyres as Hornets looked to build a side capable of challenging near the top of the First Division.

Coached by former Cougars' player Shane Tupaea, Rochdale have lost their first two league games of the season. However, Kain has seen a video of both games and says Hall has been in fine form.

"He has been doing very, very well this season and has been leading them well in attack. He has even scored a grubber try this season when following up his kick."

Cougars will be looking to bounce back from defeats against Swinton and Wakefield in their opening two league games.

The flu bug which hampered the club's preparations for last week's clash with Wakefield is still lingering at Cougar Park with Phil Stephenson struck low this week.

However Kain has been boosted by the probable return of David Larder, Alan Julian and Brock McDonald, who has recovered from the hamstring strain which has kept him out for the last two weeks.

Jason Lee, who made such a strong impression from the bench in the 14-10 defeat against Wakefield Trinity, is also set to receive his first start for Keighley on the wing.
