Riddlesden youngster Shee-na Leach is to star in a major children's television programme this summer.
Sheena, 13, of Southfield Avenue, is to appear in the children's thriller, Retrace, scheduled to be screened on ITV this summer. She will play the part of 12-year-old Letty, a rebellious youngster who tends to avoid school, in the serial which is to run for four episodes.
Sheena, who attends Bradford Girls' Grammar School, got the part through a drama school she goes to at Undercliffe, Bradford, called Scala Performing Arts.
Retrace director Michael Cocker who also directed the children's programme Artbeat and Christmas specials of The Bill, has praised Sheena for her performance. Tom Needham, who has also worked on Emmerdale, The Bill and Casualty, wrote the series.
Sheena works on the programme, which is taking a month to film, up to six days a week and filming will finish on March 9.
