Debbie McLean now has an extra mouth to feed every morning at breakfast - a peahen's!

The bamboozled bird has taken up residence in Debbie's back garden, and is waiting without fail at the French windows each day for its favourite bowl of cereal. The pair are pictured above.

Debbie - who has named the bird Theresa after the Coronation Street turkey - is baffled over its origins. "It must belong to someone. I would like to hear from anybody who can help me find the owner," she says.

The bird first appeared in the garden of her Halifax Road, Whinswood, home early last week. "I gave it five jam doughnuts and it's been back every day since!" says Debbie, 32, who runs a Diamond Seal showroom in Bradford.

"I rang the RSPCA but it could not send anyone out unless the bird was injured. They said that if I stopped feeding the peahen it would go away, but it likes its cornflakes and rice crispies too much."

Anyone with information about the bird's owner should contact Debbie on 0976 577465.
