Long Lee Under-11's have won the championship _ and gone through the season unbeaten.

A 1-1 draw at Bingley Juniors made certain of their unbeaten tag thanks to a goal from Daniel Silvester. Bingley equalised two minutes from time. Mark Bentham was man of the match.

On Sunday Long Lee travel to Menston in the Quarter Final of the League Cup hoping to stay on course for the double.

"The whole squad has been superb this season," said manager Andy Bentham.

Cowling Junior Under-11's played against Shelf and won 3-0. Nicky Smout, Zack Butterfield and Martin Caldes were the scorers.

On Sunday they took on Long Lee, drawing 3-3 with goals from Nicky Smout 2 and Grant Coombes. Long Lee scorers were Christopher Whitaker and Thomas Aberton (2).

Long Lee Under-12's A kept a clean sheet for the first time this season as they secured a place in the quarter final of the League Cup, beating a 9-man Stansfield Rovers 8-0. They were prevented from scoring in the first half, but normal service was renewed with goals from Harry Holms (2), Graham Holmes (2), Nicky Trowers (2), Jack Kershaw and Danny Finn.

Long Lee Under-8's produced a superb display at Oakworth with Thomas Ward putting them ahead Kriss Gott added a solo effort after the break, and although Oakworth battled hard solid defence kept them at bay.Andrew Fox and Jake Hoyle worked hard for Oakworth.

Joshua Beattie scored four goals and picked up the match point as Oakworth Under-10's easily outplayed NabWood in the league, winning by 9-0. Other scorers were William Lee (2), James Thompson (2), and Joel Gallagher rounded off the scoring.

Wilsden Under-8's lost for the first time in six outings when they came up against a very determined Menston side. Dale Slack opened the scoring, but Menston dug deep to equalise before half time. Menston added a second after the break and although man of the match Ben Reynard, Thomas Sugden and Joseph Dent worked tirelessly in midfield Wilsden could not find and equaliser.

Wilsden Under-8's B beat Menston B for the third time this year. David McCaten opened the scoring and provided Michael Simpson with a tap in to make the score 2-0. Andrew Bardsley earned his fifth man of the match award with a superb display in goal.

Oaklee and Silsden Under-15's played out a stirring 2-2 draw with Adrian Lonsdale giving Oaks an early lead. Silsden equalised with Adam Whiteoak chipping the advancing keeper just before the break and went into the lead in the second half when Gavin Baluk sent a looping header over the fullback. Oaklee finished the game more strongly with Lonsdale getting his second after good work by Alex Love. David Alderson, for Oaklee and Mohammed Variava, Silsden, were both outstanding in defence.

Thornton terrorised Nab Wood with a series of well worked corners expertly taken by Nathan Traynor. The Travellers cored four without reply through man of thematch Tommy Gee, James Scott, Kyle Mulley and Johnny Lloyd.

Oakworth Under-14's captured a 1-0 win over local rivals and leagueleaders Long Lee last weekend. Craig Wheater broke free on the right and scoredthe only goal after 10 minutes. Gary Binns hit the post in the second half, but Oakworth were under pressure for much of the time. Alex Towler was Oakworth's man of the match and James Gill took the honour for Long Lee.

Ilkley Under-9's held out for a 2-2 draw which could have cost Silsden the league title. If Sandy Lane win their last league match at Long Lee on Sunday they will be able to overtake the Cobbydalers who hold a slender one-point lead.

Scorers Ross Croad and Andrew North twice put Silsden ahead, but Ilkley battled back forthe draw. Adam McLean was silsden's man of the match with other good performances from Xander Pietrovito an Sam Dowgill.

Silsden Under-9's B beat Ilkley 2-1 to claim top spot in their division. Goals from Adam Wilkinson and Jordan Harrison set the seal on a brilliant season with sweeper William Maisey man of the match. Other good performances came from Luke Lockwood, goalkeeper Jason Martin and midfield Dynamo Luke Binns.

Two excellent goals from Jonjo Berry and Sam Ash gave Silsden Under-7's A the edge over Long Lee. The Silsden defence was held together by man of the match Tom Smith with Jake McEneaney on form.

Silsden Under-7's B beat Long Lee 4-1 with goals from Sam Davy (2), Liam Mulley and Danny Whitaker. Man of the match John Golson was solid in defence.

Oakworth Under-11's A beat Siddal 2-1 with Chris Newman and Jim Whittock on target. Aiden Davey and Iain McGregor were composed at the back while Sam Wright, Ian McNally and James Dourandish created good chances.

Oakworth Under-11's B returned to winning ays with a 4-2 victry over Long Lee. All the goals came in the second half with Long Lee taking the lead twice with goals from Thomas Aberton. The Oaks fought back with goals from Jack Emmott (2), Jonathan Lucket-Farley and Jack Williams who got the goal of the match with a tremendous left foot shot. Jack Emmott was man of the match.

Oakworth Under-12's had Queensbury on the back foot from the off in their Craven Cup match. Adam Clewse put them one up before goals from Adam Hewitt, Clewse, Mark Hawker and man of the match Joe Marshall made it 5-0 before half time. The Oaks then took the foot off the gas, allowing Queensbury to score three goals in reply to a couple more for the Oaks courtesy of Thomas Woodward and a Mathew Everard penalty.

Long Lee Under-7's went down to three quick goals as Silsdenclaimed a 4-1 victory despite a spirited performance. Long Lee's goal came from Chris Marshall with Mark Anderton and Daniel Moses producing good performances.

Long Lee Under-7's were earlier beaten 2-0 by Silsden in the league with Arley Barnes star man for Long Lee.

l The Norman Bairstow Friendly League is searching for referees to help with their six-a-side tournament at Swire Smith school on the 26 and 27 of April. About 800 youngsters from 8-11 years will be taking part in the two day event.

Organisrs are searching for about eight referees who can give their time from 10-12.30 each day and there will be a trophy and free food for all officials. For full details contact Eddie Presland on 01535-665959.

l The league is also planning to set up a girls soccer league next season and wants to here from interested clubs, or teams starting out. "They only need to have 6 or seven players aged from 8-10 years as we will probably be organising a six-a-side competition," Eddie Presland said.
