Loan signings Lee Sinnott and Steve McAnaspie will make their home debuts in tomorrow's clash with struggling Manchester City.

Manager Paul Jewell is looking to bounce back from last week's defeat at Tranmere and a hectic bout of transfer activity which saw Eddie Youds, Chris Wilder and Peter Beagrie all leave Valley Parade.

However the City boss says he is delighted to bring both Sinnott and McAnespie into the side. Both men joined the Bantams on loan until the end of the season.

Jewell said: "I know Lee from the old days when he played here before. I played a lot of football with him and I know exactly what I will get out of him.

"And Steve is someone who has played in the Premier League. He is a good footballer with a lot of pace and I think he will be a big success.

"We have been making enquiries in the last week about both Lee and Steve so it is pleasing to see the deals come off."

Sinnott, 32, is starting his third spell with the club after making 252 appearances between 1987-91 and 1993-94. He moved to Oldham Athletic for £50,000 last summer from Huddersfield Town.

And McAnespie moved to Fulham last November for £100,000 after playing 22 games for Bolton Wanderers.

The 25-year-old right back said: "It is good to be back at this level and my aim is to get back into the Premier League and I hope I can do that with Bradford."

City are also looking to end a barren recent run which has seen them win just once in their last eight games.

And with Manchester City battling to avoid the drop, Jewell is forecasting a keenly-fought game.

"One thing is for sure we must match them for effort. I was very angry last weekend and we have been working a lot on closing players down and playing at a higher tempo.

"I certainly do not envisage any problems because of the transfer dealings this week. They are professional players and they owe the supporters a good performance. It is a big game for both clubs."

Goalkeeper Gary Walsh returned to training earlier this week and joins Mark Prudhoe in the squad. However Darren Moore's reaction to his abductor muscle injury in the reserve side on Monday night means he will definitely miss out.

Winger Dennis Sepp's bad luck with injuries has struck again. He has been forced to undergo a cartilage operation after suffering problems during the last couple of weeks.

Opponents Manchester City have signed Shaun Goater from Bristol City in a £400,000 plus deal and he is likely to make his debut against the Bantams.
