Diehard Bradford Bulls fan Keith Johnson is to get married in the team's colours on his wedding day.

Keith, 26, of Dudley Hill, has also moved the first day of his honeymoon as it clashes with the reigning champions' fixture against Leeds Rhinos next month.

Salesman Keith has spent "several hundred" pounds on a waistcoat which includes the Bulls logo, rugby ball and posts woven into the material by a Skipton company for his wedding to long-term girlfriend Louise Clayton, 28, of Brighouse.

He even had to obtain permission from the club who play at Odsal Stadium, to use the design.

Keith has been a rugby fan for years and has not missed a match. His pals reckon he's crazy but he said it had been his lifelong ambition.

"I always said when I got married it would be in the Bulls colours. I have supported them since they were Bradford Northern when I was kid," he said.

His fiancee will wear a Bradford Bulls garter on their big day in Chesterfield, next month. She drew the line at having the logo on her ivory dress, he said.

The pair admit they are rugby crazy and have travelled across Europe to see their team play - forking out hundreds of pounds in the process.

Keith believes he is the club's biggest fan and collects rugby league memorabilia. "I have rugby mugs dating back 100 years, balls, boots and every picture in my house has a rugby theme," he said.

A spokesman for Bradford Bulls said: "We wish the couple all the best and happiness for the future.
