The words "Wish You Were Here" are unlikely to appear on postcards sent by one Bradford family this summer.

For they will be jetting off on holiday together - all 19 of them!

The extended Legge family, most of whom live on Bradford's Buttershaw estate, descend on the Greek island of Kos every summer for a fortnight of fun.

Since eight members of the close-knit family began holidaying there eight years ago, word has got around about how great a time they have and the number has swelled to 19. With the promise of at least two extra faces next year, it could well grow to 21.

And despite the enormity of the clan - which spans three generations - they insist they never fall out!

Carol Smith, nee Legge, who, with her daughter Sarah has the unenviable task of trying to organise the annual getaway, said: "More people want to come every year. It is total mayhem at the travel agents".

The family stay in different self-catering apartments, but in the same block, and go out together day and night.

Ian Walton, fiance of family member Jenny Lowe, said: "We have a real laugh - that is the whole point of it."

Even accidents, like Jenny injuring her leg after falling off a bike on last year's holiday and having to limp around in a plaster cast, and a number of suitcases going missing, failed to put a damper on the holiday mood.

Whereas most families would be at each other's throats on day one, the family believe the more the merrier. Jenny joked: "It's great - if you run out of money there's always someone you can borrow from!"

Carol added: "We never think about not getting on - we are too busy having a good time. We never clash over what to do. Last year the young ones went home early and the oldies went to a rave."

The family has become such a fixture at the hotel complex at Tingaki, Kos, they are regularly pictured in travel brochures
