Keighley independent estate agents McManus & Poole are leading the way when it comes to selling property on the Internet.

The high-tech firm has launched its own web page, giving potential customers from far afield the chance to look at what it has to offer from the comfort of their own homes. Property seekers with Internet access can now dial up the McManus & Poole site, select a price range or area they want to look at, and immediately see what the company is selling.

Once a particular house or property has been selected, customers can then browse through the details and look at photographs, both interior and exterior, at their leisure. They can print out or save the details they want, and E-mail the company if they have any queries.

The firm's Ian Smith says: "We are using the Internet to promote our properties to as wide an audience as possible. There is a full listing of all our properties including residential and commercial, as well as our other services. It can be accessed 24 hours a day.

"We think it is something which will work, and something which will grow. It is surprising how many people use PCs and have access to the Internet. It is the shape of marketing to come."

The McManus & Poole website - accessible on www.Mcmanus-poole.co.uk - was set up by Internet Business Systems UK, a company launched by Keighley man Robert Moorhouse. Robert, 28, who worked six years for a computer wholesaler, set up the business after identifying a gap in the market.

"I am setting up a universal site for estate agents and the building and construction industry," he says. "McManus and Poole are the first."

Robert can be contacted on 01535 216677 or E-mail at post@UK-property.net
