Oakbank School says its A-level results were once again very pleasing. The pass rate of 88 per cent matched the national average for all schools. The number of 'A' grades increased by 30 per cent, and there was a 100 per cent pass rate in nine subjects.

Exceptional personal achievers included Hannah Jones who gained four grade As and will go to Oxford, Alice Sunderland with three As who is heading for Cambridge, and John Melbourne who also earned three As. At Advanced GNVQ, there were several merits and distinctions in both business and health and social care.
