Bulls coach Matthew Elliott has admitted his anger at the defeat by London and hopes a few home truths will help his team put the record straight tomorrow night.

Seeming to contradict his after match comments at the Stoop when he surprised many by praising the Broncos, Elliott said on the eve of Warrington's visit to Odsal: "I've made no secret of the fact that I was very unhappy with the way the team played at London. I was happy with the effort but not with the execution.

"The core of the team needs to pull it together and I've left no-one in doubt as to that fact."

Elliott has often backed his players in trying circumstances this season but insiders say the gloves were off this week as the coach made one desperate attempt to make something of a dismal season to date.

But Elliott is still backing his faltering side to repay their fans' faith in them by moving a step closer to clinching the fifth and final play-off spot with victory over the Wolves.

Their average gate at Odsal is approaching 13,500, the highest of any club in Super League III, and Elliott admits their supporters have been superb this season.

"We must never lose sight of the fact that we owe them so much," he said. "They've stood by us when things haven't gone well and they've made themselves heard all over the country.

"We owe them some good performances and I'm sure that we'll deliver.

"They're very important to us and I hope that they'll come in great numbers against Warrington because they'll give us the boost we need."

Elliott regards Wolves as dangerous opponents despite struggling in the lower half of the table all season.

"I have watched a lot of footage of them over the last week and they are playing without pressure on them. They are playing a very enterprising open style of rugby and unless we are prepared to play a similar style of rugby we are going to get burned, again!

Wolves coach Darryl Van de Velde sticks with Danny Farrar at scrum-half with Lee Briers switching to stand-off.

Their side also includes centre Mike Pechey who had a trial at Odsal earlier this season.
