THE head teacher of Prince Henry's Grammar School, Otley, will be taking his last assembly this Christmas.
Michael Franklin, 58, will be retiring after 14 years from the Farnley Lane School.
A head teacher for 22 years, Mr Franklin taught for eight years at Carramanor Grammar School, formerly Stainbeck School, before moving to Otley.
He said he has no plans to adopt an easy life in retirement and planned to concentrate on part-time work.
Mr Franklin also plans to spend more time with close family in France.
