Stanbury Park Rangers 3, Granby Phoenix 1

Phoenix thought they had finally nailed the ghost of Stanbury when they beat them two weeks ago, but it returned to haunt them yet again.

Rangers opened the scoring when Jamie Rowell made no mistake from six yards and although Phoenix battled well they were still a goal down at the break. Stanbury added a second through Ben Furness early in the second half and he added a second to bvive Rangers a 3-0 lead.

Phoenix launched an all out assault and Colin Horsfield hit the net, but it was little reward for considerable effort.

Cavendish 2

Old Queens Head 1
