A mother-of-two was discovered suffocated with her throat cut, a jury heard today.

The grim discovery was made by police who were alerted by friends when had not seen anything of Janine Dolecki, 40, of Granton Street, Bradford Moor, last February.

Stephen Tillett, 32, of Welham Walk, Wapping, Bradford has denied murdering her.

Prosecutor Graham Hyland QC told Leeds Crown Court that the victim's face was covered with a bloodstained bed sheet.

He said: "Her duvet was practically entwined around her legs as if she had been dragged from her bed."

She was found lying on the floor of the doorway to her bedroom.

The jury heard she lived in a back-to-back terraced house and had allowed Tillett to stay with her at her home.

Mr Hyland added: "Tillett dragged her, murdered her in the doorway of her bedroom."

He added that the pathologist would reveal that Mrs Dolecki suffered a series of injuries including cuts to her neck, palm and fingers on her left hand.

The court heard the couple had earlier rowed and Tillett told police the next thing he knew they were both entwined together.

He said she had her fingers in his mouth and he had wanted to stop her.

The case continues.
