The public gets a chance to see the multi-million pound plans for Bradford's Odsal stadium site next week.

Representatives from the six companies bidding to redevelop the site will be at City Hall on Monday to explain proposals.

They range from a new, 50,000- seat stadium to the refurbishment of the existing one to create a 25,000-seater covered arena.

All proposals include shop developments and leisure facilities, from hotels to multiplexes.

Councillor Dave Green, chairman of the Council's regeneration committee, said the exhibition - which runs from noon to 7pm - will give the public a chance to have their say.

"I am pleased at the level of interest shown from developers," he said. "Within the last 48 hours the Council has appointed an independent consultant to assess each scheme.

"We will be looking for evidence of a proven track record in delivering major schemes and assembling funding packaging. He has been instructed to report to the committee members by next Wednesday."

Coun Green said he had met some residents to discuss the schemes, adding: "We are looking forward to hearing the views of Bradford Bulls on the proposed schemes so their comments can be considered as part of the process."
