Craven tourist bosses are being brought to book in a unique project.

Tourist attraction and accommodation chiefs can stock up on the latest tourism literature thanks to the Craven Tourism Literature Exchange at Bolton Abbey railway station next week.

The aim is to bring together members of the tourist industry so that local accommodation providers and tourist information centres can pick up new literature and find out what new products there are on offer in the district.

A spokesman for Craven District Council, which is a partner in the project, said: "It enables tourism hosts to give visitors a fuller picture of what Craven has to offer, to encourage them to stay longer and spend more time in Craven."

Stephen Walker, of the Yorkshire Dales Railway, said: "People who attend will have the chance to wander around the station and visit the new facilities that have been developed since the launch of the restored station last year."

The literature exchange will take place at the station on the Yorkshire Dales Railway, which runs from Embsay, near Skipton, to Bolton Abbey, between 10.30am and 1pm next Tuesday.
