Denholme Town Councillor Samantha Booth has called for urgent action to improve the village's neglected Foster Park.
She is demanding:
Repairs to fencing and better lighting around the dog area.
Improvements to the children's playground.
Demolition of the public toilets.
Coun Booth, who lives nearby and regularly walks her dog there, says Foster Park looks shabby and is spoiled by litter.
"There's one pile of rubbish by the toilets which you can tell by the date of the newspapers on the top has been there untouched for at least six weeks," she said. "Bradford Council just seems to ignore Denholme. There has hardly been any new equipment in the play area for years."
Coun Booth added that the public toilets were in such a bad state they should be refurbished or demolished and replaced by a vandal-proof building.
"They are absolutely disgusting. The roof is in a terrible state and the kids all use it as a place to congregate," she said.
"I can't imagine anyone using them at the moment, no matter how they desperate they are."
A Bradford Council spokes-man said a recent inspection showed that the grounds at Foster Park were being maintained to the specified standard.
"Unfortunately, litter is a continual problem and we would urge people to act responsibly and either take litter home with them or use one of the bins.''
