A 15-year contract to operate catering, bars, retail shops and in-flight catering at Norwich Airport has been awarded to Wilsden-based contract catering group Caterleisure.

The firm is investing £225,000 in introducing their brands Caf Oasis, Caf Continental, yard of Ale Pubs and Skyline Retail Shops at the airport.

The company, set up in 1976, sees this contract as a further step in establishing its identity as a leading player in the airports catering world.

It already operates a similar range of facilities at Bristol, Teesside International and Stornoway Airports. The firm also provides services at rail stations including Meadowhall Interchange in Sheffield, Manchester International Airport and Newark as well as several coach stations.

And Caterleisure has more than 50 sites throughout the UK covering sectors as diverse as supermarkets, country parks, cathedrals and leisure centres, creating a turnover of more than £10 million.

Jim Campbell, for the firm, said: "We see airports as a critical area for our future business expansion. The opportunities for growth within the airport industry are tremendous.

"We base our winning approach on a combination of flexibility and partnership to exactly match the individual needs of our clients.
