Rugby Union: Hopes of a Baildon v Wibsey final are still alive in the Yorkshire Silver Trophy.

Baildon won the only quarter-final played on Saturday, beating Hornsea 27-5.

The other three matches - Mosborough v Wibsey, Heath v Old Rishworthians and Knaresborough v Edlington Granby - have been re-arranged for Saturday, March 20.

Baildon will be in Halifax - at Heath or Old Rishworthians - in the semi-final, with Mosborough or Wibsey at home to Knaresborough or Edlington Granby in the other tie, both of which are scheduled for Easter weekend (either Saturday, Sunday or Monday depending on what the clubs agree).

However, matters could be complicated by clubs' Easter tours and the first round of the Aire-Wharfe Cup on Monday, March 29.

The Silver Trophy final is due to be played on Sunday, April 11. The venue depends on the finalists, but if it is Bail-don v Wibsey, then Bradford and Bingley or Keighley are obvious possibilities.

In the Yorkshire Shield semi-finals, Ilkley will be at Castleford on March 20.

Moortown will be at home to Scarborough in the only remaining quarter-final on that date, the contest counting for both the cup and Yorkshire Division Two league points.

The winners will then play at Hessle on April 3 or 10, with the final not due until Sunday, April 25.

The Yorkshire Cup is the most complex of all, but several ties are due to go ahead on March 20, including the Old Crossleyans v West Park Bramhope clash.

"We are in a hell of a state with this event," admitted Rodney Childs, who is chairman of the Yorkshire RFU's Cup, Shield and Silver Trophy committee.
