Manager Paul Jewell has vowed to prove the bookmakers wrong after Bradford City were made favourites for relegation in next season's Premier-ship.

Bradford-based bookmakers John Wood have made the Bantams 7-4 on to be relegated back to Division One next season.

City are also quoted at 11-8 to finish bottom and just 5-4 to avoid the drop in their first season among English football's elite. Jewell's men are also 1,000-1 to lift the Premiership title, with the nearest priced side of the 18 definitely assured of a place in the Premiership being Wimbledon at 150-1.

However the City boss said: "People wrote us off this year because we started the season at about 50-1 so we will just have to do that again next season.

"We know it will be tough but we have spent the past 12 months proving people wrong. It seems to act as an inspiration to us."

John Wood also has City quoted as being 80-1 for the FA Cup and 50-1 for the Worthington Cup. And they have also forecast that the Bantams will finish with just 33 points in next season's Premiership.

John Wood's Premiership odds: 13-8 Manchester United; 9-4 Arsenal; 9-2 Chelsea; 12-1 Leeds; 14-1 Liverpool; 28-1 Aston Villa; 33-1 Newcastle; 40-1 Spurs; 50-1 West Ham, Middlesbrough; 66-1 Derby, Everton, Sheffield Wednesday; 100-1 Leicester, Sunderland; 125-1 Coventry; 150 Wimbledon; 200-1 Southampton; 1,000-1 Bradford City; 1,500-1 Charlton, Ipswich, Birmingham; 2,000-1 Bolton; 2,500-1 Watford.
