DOUGIE LAMPKIN stormed to a British Championship win last Sunday, on Addingham Moorside -- less than a mile from his home.
He is on the verge of his fith national title ahead of Isle of man rider Steve Colley.
Bingley rider Martin Crosswaite missed out on a podium spot by one mark after a tight battle with Graham Jarvis. He was assisted by Cross Hills rider James Snowden after his regular 'minder' was injured.
Crosswaite is lying third in the European Championship and heads for for the Czech Republic this weekend. He will also be in the British squad for the Trials De Nations to be held in Luxemberg next month when they take on a tough Spanish team.
