BRAMHOPE were put into bat by visitors Shadwell and were given a good start by openers John Crowther (25) and Jonathan Baxter.
Baxter batted throughout, scoring a magnificent 109 not out, which included 15 fours. He was well supported by Gary Howden (39) as Bramhope closed on 226-5 in their 45 overs.
In reply Shadwell were always struggling against some hostile bowling. Kevin Page taking his best performance, with 8-51, including a hat-trick in 15 overs. Aiden Sloan and Andy Ward each picked up a wicket as Shadwell were bowled out for just 108, to give Bramhope maximum points and return them to the top of their division.
The Second XI registered a decisive win at Scholes. Bramhope scored 138-6, on a slow wicket, with Wayne Greenwood (47) and Ronnie Addinall (21 n.o.).
In reply Scholes were soon in trouble and crumbled to 62 all out, thanks to Justin Earley 7-33 in 19 overs, well supported by Ronnie Addinall (3-28).
l On Saturday the first team visit Old Leodiensians in a top-of-the-table clash, and the Second XI entertain Thorner Mexborough.
