Two men will appear in Court next month in connection with alleged incidents in Keighley during the Bradford council elections in May.

Police are bringing charges after studying a report by the election's presiding officer about events at the Highfield Middle School polling station.

Allegations of intimidation were made after the May 6 election and a war of words then broke out between Labour and Conservative party members.

A number of local politicians and their party officials have been questioned and made statements to police during the inquiry.

The men will appear before Bingley Magistrates Court on September 17.

The men are not being named at this stage

Bradford council is also considering whether to take any further action.
