Gary Walsh believes Bradford City's intensive training in the coming week will help them arrest their decline in which they have lost three successive games.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper has received rave reviews in the opening five games of the campaign.

However, despite Walsh's heroics against Arsenal and West Ham, City have only picked up four points from their opening five games.

City have no game this weekend due to the internationals, and Walsh believes the players will be raring to go when they face Tottenham in their next fixture on Sunday, September 12.

Walsh said: "It was disappointing to lose three games in eight days because as professionals we hate getting beaten.

"If you have the attitude where you aren't bothered about a defeat then you will lose every week.

"You have to be unhappy after a week like we have had and that makes us all the more determined to find out why we keep getting beaten.

"I think we will get it right. The gaffer has had us in working hard and it looks like the only day off we will have is Sunday so it is not as though we are doing nothing.

"We have tried harder this year than last season and I believe we and the gaffer can put a lot of things right in training during this fortnight without a game."

City's Andy O'Brien is included in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 team to face Croatia in Zagreb today.
