The Graham Lowcock Trophy Final played as a stableford at Ben Rhydding Golf Club was played in fine weather with a very slight wind.

The course played very short with slick greens. A total of 24 qualifiers took part. There was a runaway winner in John Hartley with 43pts. Results: 1, J R Hartley 43pts; 2, A Leverton 37pts (on back nine); 3, D T Williams 37 pts, 4, A T Nichols 36pts; 5 , S D Watson 36pts.

Ben Rhydding Golf Club Ladies played in a charity competition for the Junior Golf Foundation. The competition was a stableford off seven eighths handicap and was played in warm, sunny weather.

Dale Chappell was the winner with 40 points with Sue Towler runner-up with 36.

Rabbit Captain's

Day at Otley

OTLEY Golf Club's Monthly Stableford was combined with Rabbit Captain's Day. There were 139 entries and despite of a bit of doom and gloom from the Met Office, the majority of players escaped getting wet.

In the evening the Rabbit's captain, Brian Wildblood, introduced the prize-winners, and the prizes were presented by his wife Catherine. The presentation was followed by wine and a buffet hosted by Brian.

Junior prizes

Junior golfers at Otley Golf Club competed for prizes with 29 of them taking to the course on Sunday in almost perfect playing conditions.

At the prize presentation on Sunday evening Lee Coleman, the Junior Captain, said that he had enjoyed his year and he wished the new Junior Captain Mark Driver a successful year.

Drew Massey was elected Vice-Captain.

Rawdon Medal

Rawdon Golf Club's September Medal was played on Saturday. Results were:

Division One - 1, K Hunter 64 (12); 2, S S Moorehouse 68 (15); 3, D Coyle 69 (14).

Division Two - 1, W Wilson 64 (19); 2, P Lambert 65 (20); 3, C Mills 66 (27).
