Five Leeds United players are in the England under-21 squad to meet Denmark at Bradford City's Bradford & Bingley Stadium next week.

The presence of Elland Road favourites, strikers Alan Smith and Michael Bridges, midfield player Lee Bowyer, full back Danny Mills and goalkeeper Paul Robinson will give a strong local flavour to the England side when they play the Danes on Friday, October 8. It should also help to boost the gate.

The full squad was being announced at Valley Parade today by England under-21 manager Howard Wilkinson, back in West Yorkshire where he was Leeds United boss.

The five United players have played key roles in their side's rise to second place in the Premiership, making them major contenders for Manch-ester United's championship crown.

They are part of an exciting young side manager David O'Leary hopes will keep them in contention for major honours for years to come.

Two of them, Bridges and Mills joined the Elland Road club during the summer; Bridges from Sunderland in a £5million deal and Mills from Charlton for £4m.

The squad will assemble next Monday and train at the West Riding County FA's Leeds headquarters at Woodlesford in the build-up to the match.

Tickets for the game are selling steadily with the concessionary offer to junior clubs and schools proving to be especially popular.

Two adults and eight children can watch the match on a group ticket costing £26 in an effort to encourage parties of youngsters to watch some of the best young players in the country.

Adult prices, reduced considerably from normal league rates, range from £7 to £12 and there are concessions for pensioners and juniors.

Prices for adults are £12 in the Sunwin Stand, £10 in the Ciba and Carlsberg Stands and £7 in the Symphony Stand.

Pensioners will pay £6 in the Sunwin, £5 in the Ciba and Carlsberg and £3 in the Symphony Stand. Cost for juniors is £6 in the Sunwin, £5 in the Ciba and Carlsberg and £3 in the Symphony Stands.

City have circulated all junior clubs with the help of the West Riding FA as well as schools and professional clubs in West Yorkshire to encourage them to support the match.

Chairman Geoffrey Richmond has described it a 'prestige match' and he believes if is well supported City will be allocated other representative fixtures.
