Amateur Soccer: Premier Division leaders Fagley delivered the points in style with a superb 5-1 win over in-form fellow title-chasers Mail Coach.

The hero for Fagley was Paul Hickey, whose hat-trick helped preserve the leaders' unbeaten record. Their other goals came from Dave Philips and Phil Clapham.

The chart-toppers in the scoring stakes were champions Woodend Rangers, who visited hapless Victoria 99 and slammed 18 unanswered goals past the home side.

Hudsons registered their first league win of the season and in the process inflicted on third placed U Save DIY's their first defeat with a 3-2 home win.

The visitors were 2-0 up through Andy Stebbings and Lars Neale early in the second half and looked to be coasting, but Hudsons' never-say-die spirit shone through and Paul Hewson, Arthur England and then Tony Carroll crowned a superb fight-back.

In a dramatic finale, U Save had the chance to salvage a point when they were awarded a penalty, but M Kalid's spot kick was saved by Chris Dalby.

In the First Division, title-chasing Bradford Moor YSA proved too strong for struggling Gallopers and goals from S Khan (2), M Alyas and A Razzaq gave them a 4-1 win. Smiling Mule bounced back from last week's defeat by White Horse with a superb 3-1 win at leaders Bierley United.

Aaron Haywood sent them on their way with a goal after only ten minutes and Geoff Fletcher added a second after 20 minutes. Bierley brought Mark Warren off the bench and he reduced the arrears, but Mule were not to be outdone and Haywood settled the issue with his second.

Baildon lost their Division Two top spot after going down 3-2 at Strachans. Steven Crossley opened the scoring for Strachans, but Baildon hit back through Steve Sheriff and Lee Ashforth. Rodger White then levelled matters and an own goal settled the issue in Strachans' favour.

Eccleshill S & SC took advantage of Baildon's slip to take over top spot by nailing Rafters 7-2. John Kilkenny led the way with a hat-trick, the others coming from Graham Firth, Peter Khan, Wayne Hearsun and Dave O'Neal. Colin Forest and John Muleady replied for Rafters.

One In Twelve were put under early pressure by Cross Keys who led through an Andy Robinson goal at the break. Kevin Poppleton then levelled for One In Twelve and Steve Jackson came off the bench to put them in front for the first time. Poppleton's second ten minutes from time wrapped up the points.
