Bradford Bulls' second-row forward Mike Forshaw completes a stunning fightback from injury after being named in the Great Britain side to face New Zealand in Friday's do-or-die Tri-Series battle in Auckland.

Forshaw, who made a shock return in the Grand Final earlier this month after breaking his fibula at Hull at the end of August, is named on the bench as Andy Goodway's men seek an unlikely 20-point victory over the Kiwis to book a place in the inaugural Tri-Nations Series final against Australia on November 5.

But his call-up comes at the expense of Odsal team mate Paul Anderson, the pick of the British pack in the defeat by Australia last week, who is ruled out with a knee injury.

Fellow Bulls prop Stuart Fielden has also missed out after failing to recover from a rib injury picked up in the warm-up game against Burleigh Bears while Jimmy Lowes is again overlooked in favour of St Helens' Keiron Cunningham.

Saints captain Chris Joynt has been recalled in place of Denis Betts and the other change sees Leeds' Francis Cummins replace Anthony Sullivan (calf).

Otherwise, Goodway is sticking largely with the same formations that came apart in dramatic fashion in the last 20 minutes at the Suncorp Stadium.

The coach remains confident in the ability of his players, insisting that tactical changes, even if he had the personnel at his disposal to wield the axe, would have been irrelevant.
