Chairman Geoffrey Richmond has hit out at Chelsea's ticket policy for away fans which could see Bradford City fans having to pay full price for juniors.

The Bantams travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, November 28 for a Premiership clash in front of the Sky cameras and have received an allocation of 1,441 tickets.

However Chelsea state that only 45 junior tickets priced £10 will be available for City supporters and that they will be situated in a different part of the west London ground from the rest of the away support. The adult tickets are priced at £25.

Richmond said: "There are rules governing concessions and Chelsea do appear to be acting within the letter of the law but certainly in our view, they are totally outside of the spirit of it.

"We have had to bite the bullet and accept it but these 45 junior tickets are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard because the kids will be sat in a completely different area of the ground.

"The fact that families cannot go along and take advantage of junior concessions is not really acceptable. Adults wanting to take along a junior will have to purchase full price tickets if they want to sit together.

"It would be interesting to hear what David Mellor and his Task Force make of the actions of his beloved Chelsea.

"What I will say is that when Chelsea visit Bradford, we will not be retaliating. We will treat them exactly the same as we treat every other club."

The Telegraph & Argus contacted Chelsea but were told that managing director Colin Hutchinson would be unavailable for comment until he returns from Milan later this week.

Tickets will be available from Saturday November 6 with Gold Travel Club members being able to apply in person. Season ticket holders should make postal applications including voucher 'I'. Any unsold tickets will go on general sale on Monday November 22.

Coach travel is also available at £20 (concessions £18) leaving Midland Road at 9.30am.

CITY have received an extra 1,000 tickets for Monday's trip to Liverpool after selling out their initial supply of 1,960. They will be available priced £21 (concessions £10.50) from tomorrow.
