A sponsored pub crawl for the Manorlands hospice in Oxen-hope was a heady success.

Mark Reynard and Brendan Tretton visited 75 pubs in the Keighley area over the August Bank Holiday weekend, together raising £610 through sponsorship and collection buckets.

Now a cheque has been handed over to the Sue Ryder hospice.

Mark, a company director, hopes the activity will become an annual event.

He said: "We were very pleased with the amount raised and we thank all those who contributed. We hope that next year people will join us to help further boost the proceeds."

A COWLING businessman has raised over £600 for Manorlands after taking part in the Great North Run.

Nick Robinson, managing director of Keylighting Ltd, completed the 13-mile run in one hour 59 minutes and coined-in cash through sponsorship.
