A drive-by shooting left two men needing hospital treatment last night in Whinney Hill Park, Brighouse.
The men, both in their 30s, were standing in a house doorway when they were blasted with a shotgun from a passing car.
Both received pellet injuries to their arms and chests and were taken to Halifax Royal Infirmary.
They discharged themselves early today.
Inspector George Marshall, of Calder Valley CID, said door-to-door inquiries were being made and appealed for anyone with information to phone (01484) 405259.
