By the Rev Norman Robinson, Church of the Nazarene - People Jesus Met: The Gospels are full of occasions where Jesus changed life's situations, as in the case of (Luke 7).

A widow woman's son had died.

Realising her ordeal, He interrupted the procession, touched the coffin and brought the young man to life again.

Now believe it or not that account is an illustration of what can happen to anyone who will let Christ have His way in their life.

The Bible says: "We are dead in trespasses and sins" (Ephesians 2) and Jesus says: "I am the resurrection and the life...." (John 11).

These are not idle words, they are life giving words applicable to all who are 'dead in sins' (have no inclination to follow Christ). Sin pays poor wages, those who seek after illicit pastimes, or live for their own pursuits.

What good comes out of it? Only misery, pain, loss of prestige, loss of family, hope and despair.Dead!

Jesus came to give life! and promised Life more abundant.

It is true, for I have seen many people's lives changed and transformed.

Accept the challenge that life isn't what it should be and give God, through His Son an opportunity to do something with your life, for He said: "Come unto Me and I will give you rest."

Remember, when you trust God's Son, darkness gives way to light.
