Keighley's Year 2000 charity gala procession is to be themed as 'Events in Keighley Over the Last 100 Years'.
Any groups who enter the procession under that theme will be able to compete for a prize of £100, but groups who prefer to enter outside the theme will still be accepted as non-competitors.
Anyone interested in taking part in the procession should contact Mrs Carol Smith on 646567 for further details.
The gala committee is looking for offers of sponsorship from local firms or individuals for procession prizes or in support of events at the gala at Victoria Park. And helpers are always needed on the gala field. Next year's event will be the 125th Keighley Gala.
Anyone interested in making sure the gala tradition continues and would like to join the committee should contact the secretary, Joyce Ashworth, on 605816 for details of the next meeting.
