The Bradford billiards team continued their success in the Yorkshire Inter-District League with a 5-2 away win over Leeds No 2.

In the first game Andy Armitage looked to be on the way to giving the Bradford team a good start when he led Ken Steel 162-119.

But a fine break of 59 by Steel pinched the game for Leeds 200-174.

Brian Mullaney brought Bradford all square with a 200-107 win against Mike Ikin.

In the final game Leeds had the early lead through Bob Patterson and a break of 36 increased it to 84-32, before Paul Devitt had two breaks in the 20s and 34 to lead 150-106.

Patterson closed the gap with a 39 break but a later effort of 33 by Devitt won the match 200-190.
