A teenager was robbed and a couple's car raided during two incidents on Keighley streets on Saturday afternoon.

A 19-year-old man was forced to hand over his wallet to three youths of Asian appearance as he walked down Wellington Road, off Coney Lane, at 2.45pm.

Almost an hour later a white youth stole a purse from a car that had broken down in Halifax Road at Ingrow.

In the first incident, one of the attackers pushed the man to the floor and demanded cash. The trio made off with a wallet containing £35.

One attacker is described as 5ft 9in, aged 18 or 19, medium build with short black hair and a slim moustache.

He wore black trousers, white trainers and a white coat with a blue band on the sleeve and the word "Lacoste" on the back.

The second man was about 17 years old, had dark hair in a "curtain" style, and wore a red jumper.

The car theft occurred while the occupants, a couple, had got out to talk after the vehicle suffered a mechanical fault.

The woman saw a man by the side of the vehicle. He ran off after being challenged. The woman then discovered her purse was missing from her handbag.

The suspect is described as 5ft 8 in tall, medium build, in his mid-20s and with a roundish face and a scar on the left-hand side of his top lip. He wore a dark-coloured baseball hat, dark trousers and a grey fleece jacket.

Anyone who witnessed either incident or can identify the suspects should phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
