West Riding County Amateur League: Phoenix boosted their Mumtaz Premier Division championship hopes and increased Tyersal's fears of relegation with an easy 3-0 victory.

Dale Hoyle gave Phoenix a 1-0 interval lead although Tyersal should have taken the lead when Mark Booth missed an easy chance.

Phoenix went two up when Mick Gilmartin took advantage of slack defending to score from close range and Stuart Hudson put the game beyond the home side's reach with a third goal.

Brighouse Town, who have played two more games than Phoenix, stayed one point behind after a 4-2 home victory over Wibsey.

Richie Barker got Wibsey off to a flying start with a goal after two minutes, but Brighouse levelled two minutes later through Matthew Sykes.

Brighouse then stamped their authority on the game and raced into a 3-1 lead with two goals from Mark Wood.

Barker pulled one back for Wibsey before the interval, but Brighouse continued to dominate and regained their two-goal cushion midway through the second half when Sykes notched his second.

Barker had the chance to complete his hat-trick but missed from the penalty spot to leave his side five points adrift of Town.

Crag Road United eased their relegation worries with a 1-0 home win over second-bottom Altofts, Ryan Gaunt scoring in the first half.

Dudley Hill Athletic extended their unbeaten run in Division One to six games and moved into fourth place after goals from Dave Elvidge and Craig Hainsworth gave them a 2-1 victory over Eastmoor.

Halifax side Stump Cross moved above leaders Otley Town, who were on District Cup duty, with a 2-0 away success at Bay Athletic.

Farnley eased their relegation fears with a 3-2 home victory over Yeadon Celtic, while Salt Old Boys had Paul Kemp and Andy Stocks on target in a 2-1 victory over Rawdon Old Boys, a defeat which puts Rawdon into the bottom three.

Silsden and Keighley Shamrocks strengthened their bids for a promotion spot from Division Two. Leaders Silsden had a goal from Jimmy Edges to thank for their 1-0 home success over Hunsworth, while Shamrocks opened up a ten-point gap over third-placed Kinsley Boys with a 4-2 victory at Kinsley, Howard Wellwood and Paul Driver getting two apiece.

Salts took their winning run to three when Paul Heggarty and Graham Meggitt scored in the 2-1 home win over Brighouse Town Reserves.

Dynamoes striker Gordon Banks, who grabbed two goals when his side beat Ovenden Reserves last week, went one better with a hat-trick as Dynamoes completed the double with a 7-3 away win, and Craig Brown scored twice as Dudley Hill Rangers held on to win 2-1 at Steeton.

Bowling stay top of Division Three despite dropping two points at Littletown Reserves after drawing 2-2 .

Roberttown moved level on points with Bowling after John Trevitt netted a hat-trick in a 4-2 home victory over Westbrook Wanderers Reserves.

Morley Town increased their chances of a promotion place with a 4-1 victory at Ventus-Yeadon Reserves.
