New Zealand star Henry Paul is tipping powerhouse Bulls centre Scott Naylor to force his way into England's plans for the World Cup at the end of the season.

Naylor started this season where he left off last with a barnstorming performance in the Challenge Cup win over Huddersfield-Sheffield Giants last weekend and will be a big danger to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in Sunday's fifth round tie at Belle Vue.

"Scott is huge for us," admits Paul. "Last year he was the best centre in the competition by far. No one likes playing against Scott and I can't believe he wasn't considered by Great Britain last season.

"But knowing the type of guy he is I am sure he will be really trying to prove himself again this year and if he does that I don't think they can go on ignoring him."

Paul says the Bulls squad are in confident mood for the weekend but realises it will need another quality showing to make the last eight.

"It's a tricky one," he says. "They have a lot more steel now with the likes of Tony Tatupu, Martin Masella and Warren Jowitt in the side plus more flair with Bobbie Goulding and the structure that Steve McNamara provides.

"But it is a bonus to have already played them in pre-season. A couple more players are back from injury and there is healthy competition for places in the squad."

Meanwhile, the Bulls' under-21 side have their first run-out of the season in a warm-up game at Dewsbury on Thursday (7.30pm).
