Isaiah Rankin goes gunning for his first Premiership goal tomorrow determined to revive his career with Bradford City.

The Bantams travel to Everton knowing they must end their five game losing run to stand a chance of winning their battle for Premiership survival.

Coach Terry Yorath has pledged that City will be positive tomorrow and fit-again Dean Saunders may return to the front-line alongside Robbie Blake.

That would leave Rankin, who has been on loan with Birmingham, in line for a place on the bench providing he shakes off an ankle injury picked up in midweek.

And the former £1.3million record signing said: "If I get a chance then I hope I can take it. I feel sharp, a lot fitter and I hope it all falls into place.

" I went over on my ankle in my last match for Birmingham but should be all right at Everton.

"It was great to play in the Premiership again last weekend against Southampton.

"The reception from the fans was fantastic and surprised me, to be honest. Going on what has happened this season, I thought I was the forgotten man and I knew I had to get away to try and play.

"I went to Birmingham and really enjoyed playing every week. I know I did myself justice down there and that has helped my confidence a lot.

"That was possibly lacking before I went away. It was a whole new start for me and I hope I can maintain that back here.

"We have to get something out of tomorrow's game. Everton have only lost once at home but we can do it. I want my first Premiership goal.

"If I start or get on, it won't faze me in any way. If I set up a goal I will be happy, but if I can score one I will be even happier."

Yorath admits that Wimbledon's defeat on Wednesday against Sheffield Wednesday has given the squad a major boost but they must take advantage tomorrow.

The Bantams coach said: "It was like getting a win ourselves and Wimbledon must have huge negative thoughts about themselves at the moment.

"There is always a surprise result down at the bottom each week so we need to make sure it is us this weekend.

"We will certainly not be negative and go there and put ten men behind the ball. We will go there to win."

Tomorrow's match will kick-off at 3.07pm, and not 3.15pm as previously advertised, in memory of the 96 Liverpool fans who died in the Hillsborough disaster.
