NINE-YEAR-OLD Georgina Metcalfe took gold in the Yorkshire gymnastics championships held at York last weekend.
Georgina, who attends Haworth Primary School, was taking part in the advanced section of the White Rose Millennium Championships at York when she took top spot in the vault event. She is a member of the Bradford Gym Club and trains for three hours three times a week to prepare for the top competitions. Last year she won a silver medal in the same competition.
