SCHOOLGIRLS Helen Glover and Laura Greenham clinched a Keighley double at the Yorkshire Fell Running championships last weekend.
Running in high temperatures they secured a one-two in the Under-16 section as they raced through Last of the Summer Wine country at West Nab near Holmfirth.
n Cyclo-Cross specialist Ian Taylor marked his switch to fell running with a debut win at Lothersdale.
Sunday's race from the Hare and Hounds pub got Keighley and Craven AC's Grand Prix off to a great start.
Taylor was largely untroubled in the 3.5 miler over the Pennine Way to Pinhaw, winning by 70 yards from K&C clubmate Darren Brame with colleague Will Smith fourth. His winning time was within half-a-minute of the record set by Andy Smith, of Skipton. First women home was also in K&C colours - Rachael Sharples, from Cross Hills.
Leading times: 1 Ian Taylor 23.31, 2 Darren Brame 23.48, 3 Tony Chew (Pendle) 24.04, 4 Will Smith 24.14. Women: 1 Rachael Sharples 32.56, 2 Helen Glover 33.21, 3 Laura Greenham (K&C) 33.25.
